Teaching Standards for Voki

Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments

b. develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress.

I think this tool could help me meet standard 2 b because I could use it to make assignments more interesting. I think students would be much more motivated to write a short story or answer an essay question for an assignment if they could program a talking shark or personalized cartoon to read it for them.

Voki

Today, the last day of class ( sigh ) we wrote a short philosophy of teaching statement and created a Voki character to read it for us. You can pic from a ton of different cartoon characters, clothes, colors, and accents. Its pretty awesome, and it could be alot of fun to use in the classroom.

My Webquest

The essential question of my Webquest is "Which Visual Arts Medium is the Best?" The purpose of the question is not to get a defininite, right or wrong answer from the students, but to direct their thoughts and send them on a quest to explore the innumerable art mediums available to them. What gave me the idea is that I've noticed that many students in the middle school grades get caught up in one material. They might realize that they work best in drawing, so all they want to work with is drawing, and don't develop skills in other areas. Or a student may have a preconcieved idea about what is and isn't art. The purpose of this Webquest is to broaden their horizons a little.

The class will be divided into groups: one will be working with clay, one with paint, one will be working with drawing, and the last will be working in nontraditional materials, and each will research to create a group presentation using Prezi that answers specific questions given to them in the Process page. Each group will be divided into four roles- one member will research the history of the medium, one will research three artists that work(ed)  in the medium , one will research the advantages and disadvantages of the medium, and one will be in charge interviewing his/her group members and taking pictures of all the group's  finished art projects and uploading them to the Prezi.

Each group member will also create their own sculpture, drawing, painting, or other art piece according to the material of their group.  After the Prezis are presented, there will be a class crique in which they will discuss one another's work and an exhibition for other classes to view the finished pieces. Viewers will vote for their favorite piece and their favorite medium. Individual and group winners will receive a prize.
Upon completing this activity, students will have learned about the history of different art mediums and artists, learned group communication and collaboration skills, and the skills of critique. They also will have practiced the prinipals of design and creativity in creating their own art piece, as well as reading, research, and technology skills.  Hopefully, students will learn that art can exist in an unlimited number of mediums, have a better idea of which medium(s) they prefer and work best in, and will be more open and willing to try new art materials as they advance in art education.

Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments

2 a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.

I think this activity best meets standard 2a because it is a relavant learning activity that I can really use in my student teaching. Not only can I use the actual Webquest I made, but I can use the Webquest tool to make other activities. I can change the subject matter and the difficulty level to fit any class or grade. The format helps the teacher to design an assignment that incorporates technology and higher level thinking skills.

Odds and Ends

Today we learned how to add videos and music to PowerPoint. You just go to insert, download file, and use Bender Converter to convert the file. We also learned how to make polls on google docs. The downside to this tool is that you delete it as soon as it is completed. If you use Zoomerang, you can store your responses. We also learned about a tool for self grading worksheets. Here is a link to my self grading worksheet.

2. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS•S. Teachers:
d. provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative
assessments aligned with content and technology standards and
use resulting data to inform learning and teaching.
I think  knowing how to use things likse Bender Converter and self grading worksheets will help me meet standard 2 d. because I can use them to come up with different summative tests that incorporate technology. Also, "self-grading" means I dont have to grade anything! And the less time I spend grading, the more time I can spend teaching.

Google Forms

Today we learned about Google Forms. This is a tool that allows you to create online quizzes, surveys, or any type of questionnaire. I made a survey about Thanksgiving. We also learned how to format our surveys and about the different kinds of questions: multiple choice, text, scale, grid, checkboxes, and choose and option. Then the class took eachother's surveys. It was really cool to see all the information for my survey compliled into a chart in google docs as they filled it out. Here is a link to my survey's results. This could come in handy during my student teaching to create homework assignments and quizzes. I can view the form by signing into Gmail and clicking Documents, and anyone else can view it by clicking the link in my blog post. I can view the results by clicking my Documents in Gmail, and clicking on "Thanksgiving Survey" My subject in my survey is kind of silly, but I think it is interesting to see what other people do for Thanksgiving.

2. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments

c. customize and personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles,
working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources.

I think Google forms could help me to meet this standard because I could use it to personalize assessments and assignments. It would also make putting quizzes and surveys together much easier

Prezi

Tday we learned abou three new tools, Issuu, Prezi, and Photostory. Issuu is a tool kind of like SlideShare. On it you can view for PDFs in magazine style, or use it for presentations. Prezi is a free web based tool that allows you to do zooming presentations. You put all your content on one slide, and then decide the order the pictures will be zoomed in on. This option is less linear and more interesting than PowerPoint.

2. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments
a.design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools
and resources to promote student learning and creativity.
I think these tools can help me meet Standard 2a. because they are definitely digital tools that promote student learning. PowerPoint is a great tool, but I think Prezi is more interesting and has more potential for student creativity.

WebQuest

Today we began learning about an online learning tool called WebQuest. We started by reading on a website called "A WebQuest about WebQuests" developed by Bernie Dodge. WebQuest provides a format for learning websites: there is a page for the introduction, a page describing the task, a page for the process, and a conclusion page. The activity was to rate the five examples of WebQuests on the site: Saving the GorillasWorld of ShakespeareAnti-Earthquake Designer Foreign Country, and Waves and Sound. I evaluated the WebQuests keeping the four group roles in mind: The Efficiency Expert, the Affiliator, the Altitudinist, and the Technophile.
Here are the WebQuests ranked from most effective to least effective according to my opinion and from the information on the "A WebQuest about WebQuests" site.
3.      Saving the Gorillas
5.      Waves and Sound
I ranked World of Shakespeare first because it is the most professional looking and best organized. It also has a clearly defined task and process in which the group roles are defined. The students who complete the activity don’t just answer questions and gather facts; they create a skit, sonnet, scrapbook, or PowerPoint. They would get practice with technology and higher level thinking skills in a fun activity.
I ranked Foreign Country Presentation second because it is a little less impressive looking, but it includes clear task, process, and conclusion pages, although group roles are not designated in the process page. The activity would please the Technophile, because it is a research activity and the Altitudinist also because the activity encourages the students to not just gather facts about a country, but to find out which country would be the best to visit, which makes it personal. They are gathering information they might directly use some day. The Affiliator would also be pleased because since the groups are competing against each other, students are encouraged to collaborate and the competition motivates them.
I ranked Saving the Gorillas third because it is a good activity with an interesting topic. However, it isn’t a group activity, and it could be a little boring answering dozens of questions about gorillas. I think a more fun activity could be included also.
I ranked Anti-Earthquake Designer fourth because I thought the topic was a little narrow. It might be good for an architecture class though. I also thought the work between the group members was distributed very unevenly. For example, the “scientist” is given the task of explaining the phenomena of earthquakes and creating a fact sheet for the class. The “Design artist”, however, must use the research gathered and employ the linear design process to select the best idea and draw dimensioned sketches, and create a power point presentation to present the design to the class. If I were in that group, I would much rather be the scientist!
I ranked Waves and Sound last because the directions are very unclear and poorly written in parts. For example, the task is to” go through the program and identify key concepts of waves and sound using logic and high level thinking.” The WebQuest is supposed to provide them a way to use logic and higher level thinking, not just tell them that is what they need to do. The pictures included in the process are good, but there are way too many questions and there is no activity that promotes the higher level thinking that they are supposed to be using.

ISTE NETS for Teachers
I think this activity will help me meet standard 2a. because this will help me make my own WebQuest, and using WebQuest in an assignment would be incorporating a digital tool or resource to promote student learning and creativity. It would also likely make the activity more fun and interesting, which would help the students retain more of what they learn. It would aslo use less paper than worksheets!

Jeopardy Games

Today we learned how to use a free online tool called Jeopardy Labs to make Jeopardy games. This is MUCH easier to use than PowerPoint Jeopardy templates, and you can even edit it. It is a very useful tool in the classroom to use for review games because most kids like Jeopardy. We also learned how to use dirpy to download sound from videos to PowerPoint Jeopardy games. We found out that PowerPoint doesn't like flv file types, so we couldn't download videos today, but there are ways to convert the file. The online version is easier to use than PowerPoint templates, but obviously, you need Internet to use it, and you can do add more cool stuff to PowerPoint templates, like video, graphics, and sound.
We also started editing our websites to make them online portfolios. We started by creating a page for each WV Teacher Standard. We will continue to add to it until we have a portfolio with a variety of links, artifacts, and information that demonstrate specifically how we have met the standards and will be useful to us later in college and in our careers as teachers.

1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity

c. promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.

This activity can help me meet Standard 1 c. because now I can use online Jeopardy templates or PowerPoint to create learning games and review games that will motivate students to learn. Games like Jeopardy can also let me (and the students) know how well they are comprehending the material.

PowerPoint Video

Today we made a Jing video of some of the tricks we have learned in PowerPoint. We have learned how to duplicate a slide quickly: Control D. This makes a copy of a slide and all its formatting and content. We also learned how to group objects: hold down shift and select all the objects, and then go to  Home>arrange>group. Then we learned how to make buttons: insert>shape> double click on an object in the custom animation window on the slide you are working on> timing>triggers> choose the shape you inserted. With this you can make a Show answers button to use in classroom games and tests.
We learned that there are also built in action buttons in "shapes". With these you can return to other slides. In my PowerPoint I made one for home (the first slide) and Table of Contents. We also learned how to insert hyperlinks to other slides in the Table of Contents so you can go straight to an example of the trick. To make a hyperlink to another slide, go to insert>bookmark> choose the slide you want to link to. Then we made a short video of our PowerPoints using our old friend Jing, and then uploaded it to Sreencast, where we got the embed code and pasted it in our blogpost using the Edit HTML tab. Voila!

Unable to display content. Adobe Flash is required.

3. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning

a.demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.

Learning how to use PowerPoint in depth will help me meet to Technology Standard 3a. because as a teacher of the 21st century, I should be able to demostrate fluency, not just compentency, in technology stystems, especially those which will be useful to me in the classroom. These tricks can help me make a presentation  more interesting by breaking up the typical linear format of PowerPoint, and therefore make it a more effective teaching tool.

PowerPoint Tricks and Tips

Today we played around with PowerPoint in class, and I found out that it can do alot more than just display text and pictures! We learned how to use custom animations to make bullets enter or exit the slide at different times. You can also make them be emphasized at different times. This could come in handy because it makes it possible to use PowerPoint to do reviews, quizzes and lableing and Jeopardy games in the classroom. We also pulled pictures off the web and used custom animations to make them move and interact.

2. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments

d. provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative
assessments aligned with content and technology standards and use resulting
data to inform learning and teaching.

Now that I know how to use custom animations, I can use
powerpoint to make reviews and in class tests that will teach the
incorporation of technology at the same time.

PowerPoint Presentation

I created a PowerPoint describing the problem of budget cuts in public school art departments. First I researched my topic using Google and NexisLexis on FSU's library databases. I gathered information from articles like CNN's "Budgets Cut Student Experience". I decided on key points: describe the problem, analyze the causes, the positive impact of art education, the negative impact of budget cuts, what others are doing for the problem, and what you can do. I included a examples of teachers and students' experiences with the problem to make it more personal and authentic. I included numbers and statistics to clarify, but not too many to avoid overwhelming the viewer.
The readings were helpful, especially the tips from the reading "PowerPoint Presentation Advice." I tried to keep my presentation free of unfamiliar jargon and acronyms. I made sure my font size was big enough to be read, and used contrast; white and light orange text on a black background. When I was finished I went over my slides to check it for mistakes and published it to the Web using SlideShare. I thought the reading "We Have Met the Enemy" was interesting. I would never have guessed that PowerPoints play such a large part in the military. I can see how it could be helpful, but I agree with General McMaster's view that oversimplifying complex problems into bullets is dangerous. PowerPoint definitely has its limits. "Presentation Zen" was helpful for its suggestion to make the presentation personal, start off with punch, and include animation if it would enhance the presentation.

1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity

b. engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems
using digital tools and resources.

PowerPoint is a good tool for teachers to use to communicate with and educate parents and students. I can use it to present research and information in current authentic problems and I can also use it in reviews and games in the classroom. I will be teaching students content and  how to use a useful piece of technology at the same time.

Map

This is a Google map showing where the students in my Instructional Technology class live. First we all entered our names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and blog addresses into a Google spreadsheet shared through email address. Everyone in my class was online and working on it at the same time, so you could actually see the document change as they entered their information. We could also chat in the virtual private chat room on the right side of the screen. When everyone was done, we copied the sheet and pasted it into the text box on a website called BatchGeo
BatchGeo is a cloud-based resource, which means it is Internet based computing whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers on demand, like the electricity grid.Using a spreadsheet of your location information, BatchGeo maps each of your locations and allows you to save or print  the resulting map.
Then I clicked "Map It". When the map loaded I clicked save/share/embed. After that I titled the map and made it public, saved it, and embedded it in my blog using Edit HTML and the link in the email.

ISTE NETS T

1.Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity

d: "model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments."
This activity models Technology standard 1.d because we met in a virtual environment instead of in  class and asked each other questions and learned together how to use the technology and finish the assignment. We learned about virtual communication and a cool online map tool at the same time.

Updated Calendar

I updated my Calendar by adding no class meeting notices for today and next week, and then used the link in the email to get the link to embed my calendar in my blog post. I copied and pasted the link URL in my blog, clicked Edit HTML, and then changed the height and width to 400. Then I clicked compose, added my text, and published my post. This will be be very helpful to me down the road because it is always annoying to go to the classroom only be reminded by an empty room that the class isn't meeting there.

ISTE/NETS
3. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning

b.collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation.

Using the calendar is not only helpful to me, it can also inform my students, their parents, and the community of activities, tests, and things to keep in mind. It could also be of use to the students personally. I could teach them to use their own google calendar to promote responsibility and fluency in digital tools.

Resume

Today I uploaded my Resume into Google Docs, and then searched the templates on the site. I picked one I liked and then copied and pasted my information into the template.  After I saved it I clicked on "share" and "share as a webpage" and checked "update automatically." I need to edit it because I need to get more contact information from my references. This activity was good for me because it reminded me of how important it is to keep track of what I've done and what I've been involved it. It also made me realize that I should probably try to get involved more at FSU, and try to get a leadership position in clubs and organizations, not just become a member.

I think this activity models Technology standard 5(Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership) section d. Having an up to date, professional resume helps schools hire teachers that can prove that they are educated, experienced, and competent with records of previous experiece in their resumes. This allows for effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.

Google Calendar

Today we learned how to use the Google calendar tool. There is alot you can do with it! Here is a link to my calendar. We also made our own google websites.

I think these activities model teaching standard 1D. because they allow teachers to engage  in learning with students, colleagues, and others in virtual environments. Also, teachers are very busy people, and using a digital calendar tool is a good way to remind yourself and others of things you need to remember. It is a good idea for a teacher to have his/her own website so he/she can communicate with parnents and students and get parents involved.

National Art Education Association

I have a link in my Diigo library to the National Art Education Association because it is an online community of practice where visual arts teachers, scholars, researchers and professors, students, administrators, art museum educators, and artists come together around a shared belief in the power of the arts in developing human potential. The next NAEA national convention, “Creativity, Imagination, and Innovation in Art Education” is March 17-20, 2011 in Seattle. It is a 4- day professional development event that will bring together leading experts in teaching, learning, and the arts with thousands of visual arts educators representing all teaching levels and backgrounds. Participants can choose from over 1,000 sessions focused on practical research and teaching strategies, arts workshops, exhibits, and tours focused on professional development for visual arts educators.
Being aware of organizations like this helps me to work toward Teacher technology standard 4D. because participating in these organizations and conventions will get me involved with other professionals. It is important to edgage with colleages to learn  about other cultures and share and learn new methods and digital-age communication and collaboration tools.

Formulas and Functions in Excel

Today we worked more in Excel, using more complex formulas and the IF function, once again using student test scores for our data. I learned that a function is different than a formula because it is built in; you don't have to type it in. First we used the average function to average each assignment, which didn't take very long because we used the fill handle to copy the function so we only had to do it once. We used the same technique with the Min and Max functions, and then composed a formula to find the range between the two. Then we composed a formula to calculate the final grade. We added the assignments together, divided by 2, and multiplied that by .25 (assignments were 25% of their final grade). We did the same thing for the project, and for the tests, except for the tests we used .5 because they were 50% of the final grade, and then we added them all together. We typed a long formula into the formula bar and got the weighted average. Then we used the help menu to learn how to use the IF function to assign the weighted average a letter grade. This was great beacuse this time we copied and pasted the formula from the help menue and just changed a few things. Finally, we formatted our spreadsheet, added a background color, and uploaded it to Google Docs. Whew!

I think today's activity promotes Teaching Standard 1D. because in it we learned to use digital tools and resources to explore the real-world issue of student testing trends. Also, I know it is important for teachers to know how to analyze and understand test scores.

You Don't See That Every Day

This is a giant sculpture arragement by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje Van Bruggen in the Netherlands. Its so awesome! Just thought I would share!

Silent Excel

Today we did a similar excel activity, only this time we worked on an assessment in complete silence (or attempted to anyway). We analyzed the test scores of males, females, traditional and non traditional students, like in the last activity, but we also compared the scores of graduate students and inservice graduate students. We found the averages of the scores by selecting the cell in which we wanted the answer to appear, typing in an equals sign and then finding average on the formula toolbar. We learned how to use the count and countif; count the same technique as average, and for countif we had to enter the information that we wanted counted. Custom sort makes it much easier because if all the numbers in the category you want to count are grouped together, you can just select it and use the count function. A ttest calculates whether or not the differences in scores are statistically significant ( if the result of the test  is less than 0.05, it isn’t, if it is greater, it is). We found that inservice students scored the lowest, and traditional students scored the highest of any category, however, according to the T-test run, this is not statistically significant.

I think this activity promotes technology standard 2.d because it was an example of a formative and summative assessment aligned with content and technology standards.

Excel Activity

In class we have been working on an action research project that involves comparing the test scores of different types of students to see what factors affect grades. First we uses the data on the excel spread sheet to construct formulas to find out the number and percentages of male and female and traditional or non traditional students and their average scores. Then we used pie and bar charts to graph the data. We found out that girls scored higher than boys, but a T test showed that the discrepancy in scores was not statistically significant. However, the data showed that traditional students scored higher than nontraditional students, and this was statistically significant.
After that we created a document on Microsoft Word to present our findings. We learned that in APA page formatting, a essay should be double-spaced with 1" margins, and 10-12 pt. Times New Roman font. You should include a page header with the page number on the right, and the title of your paper on the left. Tables and charts must follow specific formatting, not begin a page, and have titles. Your reference list should be at the end of your paper and provide the information necessary for a reader to locate and retrieve any source you cite in the body of the paper. Each cited source in the paper should be in your reference list and every each in the reference list must be cited in your text. The reference list should have a hanging indentation, author’s last names first, and put in alphabetical order by the author’s last names.

I think this activity best models that ISTE NETS for Teachers standard 3 c. because with tools like Excel and Word, students can learn analze and evaluate data and communicate the information and ideas effectively to those around them. Also, the data we worked with, for example, is very relevent to education because it is important to recognize patterns and trends in student performance.

Photo Story

This is a video using Power Point slides of how to draw a face and Photostory and published it to YouTube. THis activity most closely follows the NETS for Teachers standard 2a. because I could use it to teach students to use digital tools for learning experiences to promote learning and creativity. I could ask students to find something they are interested in learning about online and make their own Photostory video of it.

Storage Options

I made a graphic on Microsoft Powerpoint on the various ways I can save information virtually and physically. One way to save information physically is sending the file to a flash drive. This can be nice because it gives a sense of security that you can carry it with you and no one else can bother it, but it can be a false sense of security because it can also get lost or broken or "corrupted". CD's are the same way, and sometimes it takes more time to burn files to them. I think CD's are nice for stuff you want to keep long term, but not for things you will use daily. There is an increasing number of ways to save information virtually. Some ways include Microsoft Word documents, Screen Cast,Google Docs, U-drive, and blogspot. All of these have an advantage over flash drives and CD's because you cannot lose them or spill anything on them. However, some of them, like Microsoft Word documents, can be viewed and altered by other people. Some of them, likeScreen Cast and blogspot cant be changed by others but anyone can see what you save, so these are not for private information. These are all nice because you can get to them if you have internet, but if for some reason you dont have internet access, you are out of luck. Probably the best ways to save is through the U-drive or Google Docs.

I think this activity most closely models the ISTE NETS T Standard 3d. (Model Digital-Age Work and Learning) because this standard focuses on effectively using emerging technology tools to locate and analyze information to support research and learning. This applies to this activity because Screen Cast, flash drives, U-drives, and blogs are all tools that anyone working with computers needs to know about, and they are intrumental because it makes it much easier to analyze and evaluate information and research if you have a way to save your work.

Colors of the Wind

This is a video I embedded from YouTube.

This activity promotes Technology Standard 3a because if I can do this as a teacher, I will be demonstrating fluency in technology systems. I could also use the skill of embedding images and videos to make teaching materials like powerpoint more interesting and effective.

Jing Video

I made a video of how to change the font style, font size, and font color on Microsoft Word.

Self Portrait

This is me Picasso style. This is a really fun site: PICASSOHEAD

This activity models Technology 1(Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity), section A, because we learned a way to use technology to promote creativity. Technology helps us get things done, but it can be fun too.

Jing

Today we used a program called Jing. It is alot like the snipping tool only you can do more with it. I captured an awesome picture of dolphins!

Snipping Tool

Today we learned how to use the "snipping tool". This new knowledge will help me meet the ISTE/NETS standard 2a. because I could use it to teach my students to incorporate digital tools and resources in the creative process These kinds of shortcuts make learning about and using technology fun, which will make teaching it in the classroom much easier.

Bingo!

Well, I took the personality test, and apparently I was right on target: I’m an Idealist. Knowing that could come in handy when teaching students because the better I understand my own personality, the better I will be able to evaluate my own motivations and reactions. I believe it is important for teachers to be constantly measuring and pushing themselves as much as their students. If I am aware of my tendencies, predispositions, and limits I will be able to better meet my own needs and those of my students, and therefore be a more efficient teacher. This activity will help me meet the ISTE'S Educational Technology Statndards for Teachers, specifically standard 2b. because using this in the classroom would be a good way to implement technology and enable students to pursue their indvidual curiosites. The more they understand their personalites, the better they will understand their interests and be able to set their own educational goals,
manage their own learning, and assess their own progress.

Speculation About My Personality Type

I have had close to zero experience with personality tests. I’ve taken a few of those quizzes in magazines that are supposed to tell you which celebrity you are most like or something dumb like that, but never ones that give serious insight into your personality. Based on what I’ve read about the four personality temperaments, I think I am definitely an Idealist, and a combination of the sub categories of Healer and Champion. I mostly fit the characteristics of an idealist: I have always been interested in self improvement, I hold myself to very high standards, ethics and morals are very important to me, and I like to think of myself as being loving, kindhearted, and authentic. I am like a “Champion” in some ways because I am very excited about life in general and I want to experience all the meaningful events and fascinating people in the world, although I am not particularly spontaneous or dramatic, as champions are supposed to be. I am like a Healer because I can seem shy around others, I have a deep commitment to personal standards of right and wrong, and I feel like the world is full of wonderful possibility and potential good. I feel a very strong personal responsibility to use what I have been given to help others.

The personality type that I am closest to besides Idealist is Artisan. I love art, and I can be very creative, and I like to work with my hands, but many of the other traits do not fit me. For example, I do not pride myself on being spontaneous, bold, or unconventional, and I tend not to trust my impulses.

Next in line would be Guardian. I love to be trustworthy and dependable; I try very hard to always do what I say I’m going to do. I also take my responsibilities very seriously, and I tend to think in more traditional ways.
